Link it! Getting a head start on tasks
A prerequisite for getting anything done is to have the tools and materials that you need to do it immediately to hand. Here is a quick tip to help you get a head start on any computer based task, hyperlink any materials you will need for completing the task. This means that when you open your task list, you will have the necessary files linked directly to that task. A quick click on the link and all the materials are open and you are ready to go!
I give an example below using Abstractspoon todolist. Here, we have the inbuilt function to add any link to each task. Clicking the file icon beside the task will then open that material.
This example used Abstractspoon todolist but of course this is possible with MS Excel or many other task management apps.
